Medicine Wheel
Medicine Wheel Teaching
The medicine wheel is a traditional teaching of the Anishnaabe culture. There are over 100 teachings about the medicine wheel but they all say similar things. The centre of the medicine wheel represents the self. The East represents the physical aspect of life, the South represents the mental aspect of life, the West represents the emotional aspect of life and the North represents the spiritual aspect of life. It is important for all these aspects of life to be in balance. When we neglect one of these, we will experience an imbalance of the whole self. It is important that we try our best to maintain a healthy balance.
